Conflict Corrodes Performance: Harvard Business Review

Conflict at work is far more toxic than managers imagine. For people involved in conflict job satisfaction falls and performance plummets. To understand the impact the the Harvard Business Review polled several thousand managers and employees across a broad range of indutries about their response to conflict at work….

    66% said their performance declined
    63% lost time avoiding the protagonist
    80% lost work time worrying about the conflict
    78% said their commitment to the organisation declined
    48% decreased their work effort
    47% decreased their work time
    38% decreased their work quantity

In the current climate, companies depend even more on their staff and connot allow conflict to corrode the atmosphere and commitment of staff.
